April Report Post

I think I deserve a G for my Work Habits and B for my letter grade. I'm definitely on my A-game whenever I go to Gym class, but I feel as though it is not enough to physically improve me because even though I try my best at school, I sadly become very lazy once I'm about to go home. I have the equipment for a solo workout, but I sometimes don't feel like using them. Nevertheless, my effort at school seems to somewhat payoff and I make sure that I bring not just my effort, but also my gym strip and cooperation skills with me.

Work Habit Interm's Report

I believe I should get a G.  This is because throughout the year, I have done the required tasks in my Physical Education class. For example, I always participate in class activities and I've never slacked off of  exercising. I've also only forgotten my gym clothes once, but I still grabbed the dingy pair of shorts from the bin outside the gym. To add to this, whenever there are team sports that I participate in, I always welcome those around me. While participation isn't much, I also put effort on everything that we do and improve as much as possible, while making the exercises and sports fun with my peers and classmates.

Krian Arias' Active Learning Interim Report Post

I believe that I deserve a G for my Work Habits in Active Learning due to the good/ descent changes of my results from last year, compared to my results this year. Below, I will be stating an accurate display of what I claim, and I will be using my results from Beep Test, and the minor activities following after it.

                     Last Year/ Current Year

Beep Test: 7.5/ 9.4

Sit & Reach: Level 4/ Level 4

T-test: 7 seconds/ 5 seconds

Vertical Jump: 150/ 185

Push- ups: 24/ 30

Board Touches: 9/9

And as an addition, I also do minor things, such as arriving on time in class with my gym strip on, participate in activities, encourage my classmates, pace my speed, etc.

Final Active Learning Blog

This year's PE has been both fun and challenging. I wasn't really a "physical" person when I started Grade 8, and I didn't plan on setting up goals for myself either. However, as I progressed through the year and made new friends, I became more and more active as I became comfortable with the people who surrounded me in our class. Because of this, PE became more fun, and I participated eagerly for the activities. I realized that PE wasnt just a block or subject where you fool around and waste time. PE is a subject that teaches students how to get fit and how to surpass that physical barrier we call pain.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to prove how much I try my best at improving my body at school or at home due to a complication with my computer and my phone. I stated before that I've been working on my stamina/ cardiovascular, but lately, I've been working on my upper body as I have a fitter lower body. The few basic methods I use to improve my biceps, pectorial muscles, and abs are weight-lifting, sit-ups, push-ups, body-bridges, and a few modified versions of these methods. I also play a PS3 game named "Sports Champions" to warm up before my workouts. Additionally, I've been eating balanced meals everyday, as I remember Mrs. Miles' lectures when I was in her Foods class. PE this year has been a blast, and I hope to have the same experience next year!

(April 10, 2013) Active Learning Reflection

                             Active Learning Reflection

My experience in Gym class is somewhat the same as before, with very few differences. Unlike last time, I keep on going whenever I'm very tired or whenever I'm huffing and puffing. As I've said in my previous post, I've been working on my stamina and cardio, and when I'm running, I last twice as much than before. I also use gym equipment in my house, however, I could not provide a digital evidence to prove that I did. Due to this, I think that I deserve a B for my Report Card. I'll try to provide a digital evidence for the next Active Learning Reflection post.
